Why Scripture Art?

The concept behind Doorposts and Gates is to provide affordable framed scripture for the modern Christian household and to contribute variety to this worthwhile mission. It is our hope that by providing more options for displaying scripture around your home, you might be in the Word daily and, through your home, more people may come to know the Lord .

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

Deuteronomy 6: 4-9

Doorposts and Gates was born out of a desire to be obedient to God. In Deuteronomy 6 it says, the words of the Lord shouldn’t just be in our Bibles. They infiltrate all aspects of our life and fill our home both metaphorically and physically. Doorpost and Gates seeks to fulfill this teaching by providing affordable, framed pieces that Christians can utilize to adorn their homes. Our hope is that God’s word shines a light in every home in America. We feel scripture art in the home has several benefits. In addition to providing daily encouragement and motivation, it serves to help those in the home memorize important scripture. Apart from those in the home, it serves as a tool for mission work to those who visit in your home. Additionally, it can aid in parenting by providing readily accessible scripture to reference in those difficult situations. Our ultimate goal is to help Christians in both their personal walks and hospitality mission work within their homes.
